On November 19, 2020, the Center for Educational Technologies took part in the working webinar "The National Platform for Open Education of Kazakhstan: Interuniversity Cooperation", which was held by the National Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Kazakhstan in conjunction with the Al-Farabi Kazakhstan National University. This webinar was attended by the heads of the departments responsible for the development of massive open online courses (MOOCs) in the universities-members of the Consortium on the network form of implementation of educational programs using online courses and partner universities of the National Platform for Open Education of Kazakhstan.

The webinar was created to discuss important issues related to the creation and placement of massive open online courses, as well as the need to create MOOCs in connection with the complex epidemiological situation around the world.

On November 27, another webinar “MOOC movement on the National Open Education Platform of Kazakhstan” will take place, where the head of the COT Anthony Hatrick will take part and make a presentation on the topic of the report “Experience and problems of launching a university-wide MOOC development program”.
